Urban Beans beef with poblano chiles and red peppers, onions, Casa Terra cheese sauce, and pickles.
Short History: The Cheesesteak comes from 1930 Philadelphia when Pat Olivieri created a sandwich with grilled beef, onions, and cheese at his hot dog stand, and a passing cab driver asked for one as well. He soon developed a following for his cheesesteaks, and they have since become Philadelphia’s most iconic food! This version from The Vegan Taste will provide you with a great source of antioxidants, such as beta carotene, and more!
Reheating Instructions: Warm the filling over medium for 2 to 3 minutes. Toast the bun if you like, and fill.
Customer Comments
“You have once again reassured this recently reformed omnivore that I won’t miss the occasional meat sandwich! The “meat” tasted like the most tender beef I’ve ever consumed, and the Casa Terra cheese and all the attendant fixings were perfection. Thanks Jason!” – Katrin Ne. from Scottsdale
“This one pulled off being my favorite this week! The Urban Beans “beef” was incredible! And I know how much healthier it is than actual beef. The CT Cheese, amazing as usual. The poblano chiles really stood out and I could taste the Southwestern inspiration. I’m eagerly hoping this one turns up again in the future.” – Kelly Co. from Mesa
