Short History: Sonoran hot dogs are extremely popular in Southern Arizona, and especially Tucson, Arizona – in 2009, there were at least 200 street carts manned by “dogueros” selling Sonoran hot dogs. Wrapped in bacon and grilled while in its hot dog bun, the Sonoran hot dog originally came from the capital of Sonora – Hermosillo.
