Classic all-American sandwich made from lentils and veggies, served with a side of roasted potato and zucchini salad.
Short History: American cookbooks since the Early 20th century have included recipes for Sloppy Joes. Researchers at the Consumer test kitchen of H.J. Heinz found the origin of Sloppy Joes to be the “loose meat sandwiches” in Sioux City, Iowa in the 1930’s, and that the cook’s name was Joe! Before the sandwich, the nickname “sloppy joe” was given to fast food restaurants, or casual clothing! This Vegan variation from TVT will provide you with a great dose of antioxidants, potassium, folate, vitamins, and more!
Reheating Instructions: Warm the filling over medium. Toast the bun if you like.
