Short history: Jackfruit is believed to be indigenous to the region between the Western Ghats of India’s rainforests and the rainforests of Malaysia. It is the national fruit of both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, and is the state fruit of Kerala and Tamil Nadu (both states in India). The jackfruit will provide you with a rich amount of vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium, and is also a great source of dietary fiber.
