Kona Mole Porq Tacos

Hawaii and Mexican Fusion! Kona coffee mole topping a jackfruit porq mixed with potatoes. Garnished with onions, cabbage, and pineapple pico.

The Hawaiian word Kona means the “leeward” or “dry side of the island,” and Kona districts are where Kona coffee is grown. Shortly after World War II, several well-known local restaurants opened their doors to serve “Hawaiian Food”. Chefs further refined the local style by inventing Hawaii Regional Cuisine in 1992, a style of cooking that makes use of locally grown ingredients to blend all of Hawaii’s historical influences together to form a new fusion cuisine.

Reheating Instructions: Warm the filling in a pan over medium-high heat for 2 minutes or microwave* on high for 2 minutes. Warm the tortillas and fill.
