A smashburger with CT Swiss cheese, shredded jackfruit, pickles, Cuban mustard, and mojo aioli. Served with a side of sweet potato fries.
Short History: The Cubano is believed to either come from cafes in Tampa or Key West, both catering to Cuban immigrant workers – they were both immigrant communities in Florida centered around the cigar industry! It was eventually brought to Miami, where it remains immensely popular with the communities there. It is the center of a friendly rivalry between Miami and Tampa – the result of which being that Tampa designated it as the “signature sandwich of the city of Tampa” in 2012. This version of the classic, brought to you by The Vegan Taste, gives you a great source of probiotics, vitamin A, antioxidants, iron, and more!
