Short History: Soyrizo – Soy Chorizo – was developed by El Burrito founder Mark Roth, who wanted to incorporate more plant-based meals into his diet but found that most meat alternatives lacked flavor and texture, at least back in 1997! His company created soy chorizo by incorporating spices into soy protein and soaking it was spices, salt, and soybean oil.
