Choriqueso Burger

A smash burger covered with CT cheese sauce and chorizo, topped with jalapeño aioli and cherry tomato jam. Served with a sweet potato & black bean side.

Choriqueso, or queso flameado, is said to have originated from the borderland between Northern Mexico and Southwestern US. As for queso by itself, it first time it is referenced in writing is in the 1816 novel El Periiquillo Sarniento by José Joaquín Fernández de Lizardi. It started appearing in American restaurants in 1910, when a restaurant in El Paso started serving it. Since then, queso has become a staple Texan food, served as either a side dish, an appetizer, or even as part of the main course of a meal. With this meal and choriqueso variation, you will receive Vitamins A, B, C, & K, potassium, lycopene, antioxidants, and more!

Reheating Instructions: Warm the burger in a covered pan over medium for 2 minutes. Toast the bun if you like and fill.
