Short History: Grilled Cheese has a long history – even the Romans had cookbooks that told people to combine bread and cheese for their meals. But the Grilled Cheese only became part of the everyday American menu until the early 1900’s. After appearing in a few cookbooks at the very beginning of the century, during the Great Depression people began eating grilled cheese sandwiches with only one piece of bread – the other slice of bread was there to make it more filling for the workers. Now, grilled cheeses have a lot of variety – rainbow grilled cheese, gold grilled cheese, and grilled cheese with many different ingredients to give many different flavors. With this grilled cheese from The Vegan Taste you will get fiber, folic acid, antioxidants, and more!

Reheating Instructions: Toast in a pan over medium and warm the soup in a pot until simmering, or microwave on high for 2 minutes.
